Anyone else smell this in their car after a spirited drive? It seems to be coming from the engine bay.

Nope, all I can ever smell is petrol and the lovely smell of the resin that holds the car together. Of course, being able to smell the resin suggests that it's getting warm. If I drive too spiritedly, will it melt?! ;)

I get this too. Could it be coolant?

Only when driving on the M1 up north on the way to Sheffield. Can't remember the name of the factory but it stinks of the stuff up there.

possibly.

At least I now know its not only in turbo'd cars.

By the time the coolant has cooled for me to smell it, I've always forgotten about it.

What is "TCP" ?

Transmission Control Protocol :P

Its just an anticeptic. Mums normally put it on kiddies knees when they fall and cut themselves.
Germolene has that kind of smell to it also.

Great isn't it. I thought it was WD40 at first! I love that stuff too.

I've been boxing stuff up today and writing labels on them with a thick black marker pen. Solvent abuse at it's best!!
