Hi everyone, I'm having real trouble tracking down a wiper motor for my 2.2. I've bought 2 now and neither of them have the correct electrical connecting block. Will post a picture of what is on my car when I can, but please get in touch if you think you can help. Also could do with a nearside front headlight if anyone has one knocking about. Cheers, Andy

I got a Citreon AX 1994 front wiper motor which works & fits, there is normally some on eBay but try your local scrappies first.

I don't suppose there's any chance you could take a quick snap of it and post on here is there?

Hello, Haven't got any pics yet as I'm at work and it's a little quiet so here's what I got/ordered: This is the item I won: http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1439.l2649 but... I reckon I recieved somthing similar to this: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4161b2da2c it came with the mechism as well (the metal bit at the back). The guy who fitted it for me said he took the old motor and the bit it attachs to off and bolted the AX one on. Pain In The Ass job he said! Works perfectly except he had to dick around with the 'stopping' of the motor so it didn't smash in to the clam, all in all think he had the car for about 3 hours. Will try and get a pic later for you. Regards GiGo

Here you go one photo:

As you can see the AX motor & the fixing has been secured on to the VXs mechism.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info GiGo. I was hoping I could just find a replica of the one below though. The two I've bought so far have different electrical connections and the cylinders are slightly longer. I read somewhere that these fit the later models. I have a 52 plate though so I'm looking for one off another of those i think. Attached File  motor.jpg   105.53KB   3 downloads

No problem for the info :) Mines an 02 plate so the one I got should work for you, will pop out & see if I can see a motor / model number for you.

The label on the motor is pretty worn and can't see a full part number I'm afraid.

Do yours have a slightly bigger black connector instead of the white one? The newer motors (I just installed a new wiper mechanism from Eliseshop) have this different connector but you can simply re-wire the connections. I have the scheme if you need this.

Yes, that's exactly right Exmantaa. I have a feeling I'm going to have to do this so if you can provide the scheme, that would be great. Cheers :)
