Hopefully il be picking my car up from MMG next week,I'm going to stage 4 :) And thought it would be a good idea especially with me been at this stage of tune to buy 1 of the above to keep an eye on things Il admit I don't have a clue when it comes to buying these sort of things :) I guess been a girl doesn't help haha Can anyone advise which one is the best and best place to buy? Thanks in advance Aimy :)

Scanguage is a very useful bit of kit, you can monitor your inlet temps which on a high power tuned turbo very useful! Also fault code reading & clearing ect makes it well worth a purchase :) So out of all your list the Scanguage would be the first I'd recommend, a boost gauge is good just if nothing else to check everything's all good, And an AFR gauge to keep an eye on fuelling, though if you go with one of these make sure it's a digital readout not a needle as its much easier to read! A mistake I made and I've now had to re-order just the gauge in LED style!

Opcom is not really for day-2-day monitoring as you need a laptop to use it, I have a scan gauge and use it frequently, having an NA means I have it programmed to switch the fan on and off when I want, and have it displaying the BHP too. I also use it as a trip computer. It can also read and clear codes which is valuable. A worthwhile purchase! The only main things that would be worthwhile monitoring at stage 4, that isn't already covered by standard gauges would be the oil pressure and seeing what the wide band stuff is up to. That's M2PW :)

Thanks for the info mr simba :) Does the scangauge do data logging that you can print graphs out etc? I've currently got a digital afr gauge and a boost gauge so i guess thats 1 thing not to worry about. Also Does the scangauge read oil pressure?

No Data logging or oil pressure on scangauge, though being able to turn the VXT's fan on/off would be much more useful!!! (but it won't do that on the Turbo either! :(

If you've already got wideband & boost then a scanguage is really all you need, tho I did copy Liam and put a temp sensor in front of the IC, though with your CC system guess you'd put it in front of the inlet to the air filter to monitor pre-cooled inlet temps :)

Also now I've got wideband set the ScanGuage to show whether the car is in open or closed loop which is also useful

I'm afraid I don't think it is. It's down to the different ECU used on the 2.2 I think, I used the info off of Mark Verbooms page: http://www.verboom.n...1016/index.html

What are you trying to achieve? Boost and lambda gauges in the cabin are good guides as to what's goin on. Scangauge is ideal for more info and mil resets but not that user friendly. And the diagnostics method (eg opcom or think geek thing) would be most info but irritating to use on a day to day basis.

To keep an eye on intake temps, oil pressure and data logging, guess I'd be looking at buying 2 separate devices to cover the above as from my understanding the scangauge will cover intake temps but not oil pressure or data logging and the opcom is more for data logging.
Maybe im looking into it too much and the scangauge is sufficient enough for me

Love that install, very neat. What does the 'missle lock' covered switch do on the right? ABS?

Bluetooth obdii reader and the 'Torque' app. Total cost £20 and you can monitor and datalog to your hearts content. There are a few of us with this system.

Ive just bought a scangauge 2 so thanks for the thumsup everyone :)
I'd still like something for data logging but I presume the torque app not for iPhone?
What other options have I got?

Can't seen to find it on my apps store so I presume not :( Does anyone know which opcom I need for data logging?I've looked on eBay but not sure if I need to purchase the software as well as the cable or should it all come together? I've heard there's some dodgy copies going about that don't work properly etc so can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks :)

Is anyone using one of these?

http://www.aim-tec.c...chron3.htm.html

Should be one of the easiest ways to achieve all the logging one may need?

Got one of these for my Rotax Max kart. Great little thing but probably better suited to the kart. Mine is just the basic one but you can add lots of other inputs other tha revs, water temp and lap timing (which is based on a mag strip in the track). Also have an Alfano - just the same but not as good in my opinion.
