Hi,
Just a quick introduction, i'm from Bedfordshire, hense the username. I have always wanted a VX220 turbo and is my dream car. I'm at a stage where i can just about afford one and i'm at that time in my life where i think the impracticalities won't be a massive issue so have decided to go for it!!

Test drove one yesterday and, well, i'm hooked! Got a budget of 11k tops and want a low miler Moonland or Black Tubby.

It will be my only car and i don't have a garage, i know the views of some on here about keeping it garaged but im sure if i look after it well enough it won't be an issue.

I will take all the advise you guys can give and it would be interesting to see if any of you guys don't live to far from me.

Welcome Tommy. Plenty of VX owners around Beds/Bucks/Northants. Where abouts are you? Have a good look around and post up any potential cars you want to see...

Nice one, I live right between Luton, Bedford and Milton Keynes in the countryside, nearest town is Ampthill.
Looking at this at the moment, bit of a trek away from me but seems to be just what i want, low miles, had its belt done, seems to be well looked after and the owner seemed very helpful when i rang up to ask a few questions.

Welcome. I was in the same boat as you after months ago. Look at as many as possible before you buy one. I enjoy every minute I drive it anfpd get looks everywhere. Good luck finding a straight one!

Any ideas on this one, In the add he's put "Black metallic but with more sparkly flecks"?

Black sapphire does tend to have a slight gold fleck to it.

Tommy Welcome to the fold if you ever want assistance in viewing, or getting tips on what to look for then just call...had my na for nearly 10 years now. IMHO I wouldnt rule out a good NA as a choice as well I am based at Baldock/Royston best of luck in search Harry H Oh and silver is best !!!

Cheers Harry, You're not that far from me then really. I think i'm pretty set on a Tubby to be fair, i've not driven one, so please correct me, but I am used to 200+HP in my Type R at the moment and really want, well, MORE! I've never owned a turbo car and want to give it a go . Think I will make the 160 mile round trip to go see that black one, looks pretty mint! I think i know what to look out for...
