Discs and pads done all round today and got v fitted properly. Brakes are now outstanding. Other than murray putting my bolts on too tight meaning i had to jam a socket on the locking bolts and bin them. It went all right.

To finish the car I'd like to paint the dodgy bit on the corner of the drivers door and it needs a front clam blow over. Wheels have seen better days too but not bad for age. Other than that its good.

So....doing the wishbone ball joints and new bushes bit. I recommend to anyone pondering doing the same. Before you start buy the Clarke balljoint splitter from Machine Mart. What a fannying about I had until I searched and found that recommended. Changing anti roll bar links too Next up is some shockies and tie bar upgrade. Front clam to come off to for repairs.

Normal shims are 1.5mm...my set from Elise Parts are 2mm and 1mm

So normally with 3-1 it'd be 4.5mm front and 1.5mm back.

Looks like I'm going to be .5mm out at least.

Why the chuff don't they just supply them in 1.5mm as per OEM? :beat:

Doing the suspension refresh, 3 corners done now. Well past the "wish I never fcuking started this" stage. Buying p clips online now to replace all the shagged ones, a million of my centre undertray bolts seem to have gone awal. I had to grind the bolts off the front undertray. Don't get me started on splitting the bastard ball joints. I have a mashed hand to show for that.

Buying new handbrake cable too.

All in all, a highly recommended piece of work.

Uggh!

http://www.yell.com/...-leven-3323614/ I've taken the clam off though and leaving it with him for a bit. He has a Noble clam in too. Made a decent job of repairing my old car. Very reasonable.
