They don't do all the work themselves on those motors !!!!! I have it from the man who dose the work It makes me laugh that show they never talk about labour costs and now there is the 'Paul' charcter dose he work for free???????????

of course he works for free... it's "Edd's mate Paul" :P He has a yellow sprinter that runs on thin air and he can swing by Europe to recover Mike at the drop of a hat :D

lol yes and he can't run a garage(rent, rates, electric), feed and clothe himself and mike on £200 profit every week or so. It's not reality boys but it's a very entertaining show and I enjoy watching it and seeing the cars come back to life. edit: speeling

...but it all looks so easy.... On the back of that series I bet there have been would-be amateur-mechanics who've blown £4000 on a non running nail of a Porsche 911, only to find that without Ed (and Paul, and a professionally kitted workshop) it's not quite so easy to spend £50 and get the siezed engine running again. :D I think it's fun to watch, though.

Yeah, not very realistic :P

I think it's a great program, it's great viewing. It's not a documentary, but then again, it's not fiction. Just some telly with cars, some interesting facts/tips and small marginal wins. It's not about the money, if they posted the real costs up of parts etc, they'd be miles out each episode and it would all be a bit pointless.

Don't get me wrong I love watching it ! and I know all about it I just find it all very funny they never mention the labour. I love the way Mike dose a deal and has sellers trousers down. "I'd like 20k for it ' "how about 15k?" and so on.

:yeahthat:

Though there one was bit in last nights show that was a bit worrying when he just put smaller jets into the carb to help the emissions without mentioning the fact that if you put too smaller jet in it will run too lean and melt the pistons :beat:

Just watching the show now. Fudge me he drove the cobra like a c u next Tuesday. Imagine him coming out to test drive one of your cars like that. Flat spots on the tyres for slamming on the anchors with a few mm missing from the burnouts.
