Amen to that. I heated them a bit at a time with a heat gun but even then its frustratingly time consuming and squeeky bum about wanting to not crack the lense by pushing your luck...grrr..

Looks good though thumbsup

Ive recently done this and all i need to do now is tiger seal the lens back to the light, however... (and i will add pictures later) The surround of the lens was scratched as most peoples are when seperating the 2 pieces...ive done the trick of masking up and re-spraying black, but once i had put 2 coats of paint on and looked at the other side, there was still white lines in the black showing through...looking at the back of the lens its completely covered in paint so my question is... should i sand all the surround down and start from scratch? or would the sanding affect what finish i get ie glossy

Yes maybe with the Stanley it does that , it cuts into the plastic it's a buggy. Same happened on previous lights I've done. I would try sanding gently

Damn...wanted to get them sealed tonight too... I wonder if making the outside and painting them that way would be better...or not advisable?

well ive used gloss for now...i will refrain from adding too much laquer...

ive had them done in gloss on my other cars and it doesnt affect light output...(fiesta lights below)

the original light lenses on these lights i have arent in the greatest condition and are abit foggy, tried allsorts to clean them up inside and out and there not getting any better, so probably wont get as good a result as below:
