Has anybody had any experience of Mek Motorsport, Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham (formerly Mech Motorsport I believe)? They are my nearest Weber Alpha dealer which I may need when I've finally got around to fitting my Webcon ITB kit.

When they were mech they were decent enough to not be on my bastards list (but not on my good list either  ), aslong as its the same folks then score. Shame you're locked in with webCON though.

Heard of Mech Motorsport, know where they are on the Tewkesbury road, but didn't know they'd changed there name. I'm sure our mechanic at work has used them for something or other, they're local to us, I'll check with him.

A name change like that suggests a run into administration followed by re-opening under slightly different name.

To be fair I last went there in 2002, so the fact they made it more than 10 years (had been around before that) is impressive for that type of company

Thanks for the replies. At least you're not all saying don't touch this company! I don't know the reason for the name change but agree it sounds like a pre-pack. Have to say I didn't realise when I bought the Webcon kit that you then have to use one of their dealers which is a tad frustrating as I have a rolling road guy on my doorstep but who isn't a Weber Alpha dealer. Two more sprints and one track day to go then I will be freezing my wotsits off in the garage trying to figure out how to fit the ITBs....

Where abouts are they? Never noticed the place before.

Near the Range, turn left behind Kwik-fit, then tucked away on the right. OP, sorry didn't get a chance to catch our mechanic about this today , I'll try to tomorrow

Wasn't there a big fire in the units around there a couple of years ago?
