Following on from the original thread HERE I'm a little closer in being able to produce some Exige Coupe kits for the VX.

Numbers are strictly limited to 8 other cars.

Looks like they will come out around the £750-800 mark..... We're hoping to make these double skin so they use the standard hardtop mounting points (fittings included) but that has to be tested yet, so not sure. Worst case it will be single skin (same as Cliffie's) and a fair chunk cheaper :)

These can be mounted with Aerocatch or such like fittings so are quickly and easily removed which will mean you can retain your boot as normal. Hardtop can still be removed with the rear in place.

I hope I can get these in a little cheaper than that but what I need is a no bullshit idea as to whether people actually want these as I'm going to have to spend alot of money (which I've not got) to get this project moving.....

For the numbers mentioned, who's in?

Does this include the hardtop also, if not would the back coupe back have the areo vent on it?

Jimuh, do you have the designs? I would want to know what I was looking at... :) Position 8 is very tempting.... 9 sets is an odd production run though :P

ETA just realised this will be the same as Cliffies. Will the "roll bar" cover section. Is there any was a "T" shaped section could be moulded into the boot lid to put the existing boot catch on the fast back... or use a sacrificial boot lid to chop and bond in.... There are loads of potential hinges too....

As two examples....

German hinge mechanism.
Curious as to which of the 8 will be converted to a hinged version.

That german one must still work with the roll over cover which our one replaces. That german one looks great but I suspect it's a tad more expensive.

Yes, 3.5k euro (carbon though) As the rollbar cover is integrated in yours, it will be more complex to get it hinged. Hence my curiousity.

As the roll bar cover is missing the bar is exposed so should be able to hinge it directy from the roll bar but I've not developed any hinges yet. Should be easy enough though :)

The hardtop slightly goes over the coupe part though righ? Or do they just meet each other? Some detailed pics of the setup woudl really help getting an indication of posibilities.
