ordered a new drivers black plastic sill, £120 inc vat from Autovaux

They have changed the way they mould them, horrid smooth shite :mellow:

Thankfully it arrived damaged and is going straight back

Possibly. I quite like the triangle indents in the molding so that rules out scottybobs for me :(

it was really nasty, looked like someone had copied a genuine vx220 sill and made a totally shite copy, I even asked Autovaux if it was a pattern part :mellow:

Yeah I got one the other month, was'nt thant impressed with smooth finish , but its better than the split one it replaced + I only paid £100 for it.

Smooth is one thing but cheap looking is another,but its the match or lack of thats the problem, The barstewards

Am I right in thinking some lotus' have padded sills? Nicer for the elbow when getting out. Another idea would be sills that slope slightly to the outside edge so those ever-present window leaks drain OUT of the car!

now why has no one else pitched that design idea maybe slopping outward a a little and just textured or ribbed finish
