They are infact painted ultimate carbon ears (i hate the look of CF) but i can't bring myself to fit them. This one will be quite a costly mistake

Really nice but can't bring myself to hack at my NA clam to fit them Did anyone ever make any that fitted on the existing clam but looked similar ? Or would that just be a crap obvious bolt on

You dont cut the clam. Its the sill that needs to be cut.

It's VX220 NA Black (non Metallic) The Turbo was Sapphire Metallic. iirc the paint code is 2QU used for these ears.

As James said, they've never been fitted. (You only need to say JG and that means, perfectionist when it comes to his car.) You bond the grill into the ear and then fit to the car. The fit should be pretty good, Ultimate Carbon (scottybob on the vx site) are known for the quality. I think the only reason he is selling them is because he doesn't want to cut his poor little car :lol: Hope that helps. Lee.

interesting and no need to take a dremmell or a saw to my car. Come on all you carbon and fibre glass fabricators on here where's the uk Vx version ?

The whole point of the ear is to increase air flow. sticking a scoop over the curent will have no effect at all.
