I take it that when you wire up the twin fan CC rad, you just parallel up the connectors and splice them into the old connector? Presumably the wiring/fuse can take it?

Yes. I seem to remember that I had to cut off the connector from the old single fan to re-use with the new twin fans. Double check they work and blowing in the right direction before you re-assemble everything!

the CC Spal twin fan wiring tails are a bit short , and the routing of the two looms around the radiator cores seems a bit lacking for some holes to get them into the battery compartment to the original connector.

how does the original single pair of wires snake through , is there a hole in the rad surround set for this?

Cut the plug and tails off the original fan and then connect that to the new fans

don't have the old fan tail and plug , does anyone know the plug manufacturer?

/edit

been to have a second look round , the fan is a PED25 , indicators PED23 , seems to be a common Delphi Packard type plug

Make sure you check the direction of the fans, you can make them come on by bridging the fan relay.

yes, I remember Nickb777 had his wired up . The 3mm2 cable has arrived this afternoon so off to dig out the crimping tools to make an extension loom and route the cable to avoid trapping it.

You shouldnt need to make a loom or extend anything, you orientate the fans so the wires run closest they can to the original plug and join them up. There should be ample length.
