So me ant' bird have just bought a house. It's pretty much what we wanted, but I've had to compromise on the garage. It's ruddy narrow. So narrow it might be a push in job. So narrow I might need to take the mirrors off. It's a bit annoying, but its got a massive driveway at least :P Anyone experimented with fold in mirrors or the like?!

I don't think folding mirrors would be possible due to the pillers. What about some sort of quick release for the mirrors instead? A bit like what's on a bike saddle or wheel? I got some MGTF ones that are heated & electric adjustable but couldn't find any foldable ones. Good luck and let me know what you find.

When we moved my only criteria was a garage. Didn't care about anything else. Only thing we didn't get? A garage. How do the electric and adjustable ones work? Happy with them?

Yeah, we saw a fair few others that had decent garages but were massively comprimised in other areas. Pretty happy with what we have to be honest. If the car doesnt fit in the garage, I can always just get a motorbike to fill it instead :)

Wooden garage - I bet Lee could knock you one up at mates rates in a day or two.

If you have a huge driveway, can you stick a car port in front of the garage?

Nicol, get the APR mirrors like JJJ and I have fitted to our cars. Not only do they hardly stick out, but can be folded back also. G

All you need is the MGTF switch/control knob & the plug in the back of it with about 6" of cable, take a power source of the ciggy lighter, add an on/off switch (as the heating element is always on otherwise = battery drain!) Run some cables to the MGFT mirrors, figure out the wiring diagram and job done.

They are very handy for car parks and tight spaces. You can just direct them out a touch and make sure you don't hit anything. Personally I love them, they look OEM but just a bit thicker, no one on a meet even noticed they were different until I pointed them out... That's 'mod' number one of project "VX Luxe", more to be taking place in my garage over winter!

My mirrors can fold right back should they ever need to.

Very cool. Anything that is going to help you not scrap your car on a pillar is a pretty big bonus.
