Well as my cars recently been fully re-sprayed i thought i would treat it to some extra bits and pieces to match my wheels...

I currently have going on it:

Genuine Turbo Spoiler - Gloss Black
Genuine Turbo Vents and Grilles - Gloss Black
Genuine Turbo Splitters - Gloss Black

I was thinking of getting the following done in Gloss Black too:

Windscreen Surround
Mirrors Caps

Im just after your opinions...is there anything else worth doing at the same time? or something im doing which you would not recommend?

De-badge?
V Gloss Black?
All Mirrors done not just caps?
etc

Heres the car:

Staying Primer? If not it is time for a quality street purple VX.

I would do them all body coloured rather than black. Might look a bit of an after thought is all... Personal preference though. Ive got a pile of the same bits to go on the car in the next six months and am getting it all done the same colour as the car. Im also toying with the idea of removing the fog lamps, and blanking off the holes. Saw a yello tubby with that done earlier in the year and it looked ace!

I agree... Everything body coloured - otherwise it can look like a Halfords 'bolt on bits' special.

On a yellow car, black works, but I personally I don't think it works anywhere near as well on a silver car.

Though touches of a very rich and dark blue may work on a silver car. Though get it wrong and it could look like a poorly decorated Christmas tree.

Id keep it all silver as standard (apart from the gloss wheels that have already been done) And keep the V too

No harm in black parts on a Silver VX. Mark's Tubby looks okay for a silver VX. It's your car, don't listen to us

Have the courage of your convictions. Do all the stuff on your list, buy a diffuser if you don't have already (TAT short) and voila.

Silver VX's look great either fully std or with a small touch of black. I run with Anthracite Td's, black wing mirrors, wrapped matt black ears, black wing/mounts and painted matt black front splitter. I removed my V once, but didn't like the look so re fitted. Yet, I still love the first reply to this post "Staying Primer?"
