Good find Hairy. I've had a few tricky moments with the pedals whilst using my trainers, but flinched at the thought of paying upward of £140 for OMP boots. These look so sensibly priced that even my wallet spider won't object :) Cheers. Edit: arrrgh, I take it all back, they dont have my size !

Cliffie posted a link to these from another company. I bought a pair, they are the real deal and an absolute steal for Alpinestars, you just need feet at the extreme ends of normality!

What is the difference between race and Kart boots other than the price?

Kart boots are generally cheaper as they don't have to pass such stringent tests of fireproofness and karting, being an entry level sport, tends to keep kit priced as low as possible. These will be flameproof and will offer all the benefits of the more expensive boot just don't expect them to pass scrutineering if you want to race.

Puma drift cats (if they have the curved heel up the back) work well as traininers that are good for driving the vx in.
