Bit O/T, but until I sell my Westie I can't get a VX220 Turbo, so thought I might as well stick it up for sale on here just in case anyone was looking or fancied a P/X with their Tubby, with some cash their way.

I have decided it's time for a change, so after owning my Westfield for almost 10 years, I have decided to put it up for sale, I would ideally like to keep it, but can't afford two cars!

The car is a December 1998 factory built Speedsport, which at the time was their highest spec model. I am the third owner, and since I have owned it the car has been extensively upgraded from standard.

The car has been used 99% of the time as a pure road car, I did one trackday in it not long after I purchased it, and have since done a couple of Car Limits activity days at North Weald.

Quite a large part of the mileage has been done abroad, for the past 9 years I have taken it on European driving holidays, covering between 1500-3000 miles in 7-10 days, so this car has seen most of Europe, and has even been to Sicily and back! It has done a couple of very careful laps of the Nürburgring, so can wear its 'ring sticker with pride.

For full details I have put together a webpage, have a look here:

10 years is a long time to own a car! It will certainly hold a lot of happy memories! Good look with the sale/p/x

Thanks, it's going to be hard to sell, but this has been the first year I've had it that I've had times when I've thought I would like to be in something else, and I have now decided that that something else will be a Tubby, all being well. Assuming I like the Turbo when I get one, I can quite imagine that it will be another 10 years before I fancy a change again!

Partly, yes. This has been the first year that I have had thoughts about wanting something else, don't think the weather has helped, but whilst on holiday this year it would have been nice to have had a longer fuel range, better cruising on the motorway, and a roof! These things haven't really bothered me before, but just had thoughts that a change would be nice. Figured that a VXT would be a nice change, whilst still being reasonably hardcore, and hopefully not too expensive to run.

sounds about right, im also a seven owner and purchased a n/a to go alongside my car to be used as a normal car so we can go out at the weekend even if it might rain etc....

i would love to go touring with mine but i fear its too highly strung to cover big miles and having no screen and a 20l tank its not the best

If I could afford 2 cars, then no way I would be selling the Westie, after 9 European driving holidays in it, including driving to Sicily, I've got a lot of good memories tied up with it, so it will be really hard to see it go :(

A nice looking westie you have there. Good luck with the sale and I hope you find a good VX to replace it.
