Looking for some advise on replacing a set of piston rings on some Astra VXR pistons to then go into a Z20let block.
I have had a good price back from Kieron at autovaux , but no specific details about the ring sizes as I believe there is three sizes 85.990 86.000 86.010
Part number I've struggled a bit , but 55556803 is PISTON, PIN AND RINGS, ASSY., CYLINDER BORE 86.010 MM
I need to be sure as there are height differences between z20leh and z20let , I've documented this somewhere but search isn't working

I don't have any idea personally Steve. I'd recommend rining Klassen up in Germany and offer him £25 for some advice.

ah found it , its the c20let piston rings that differ to the z20lex , information provided by Mahle
Z20LET - Ring sizes are the same as the Z20LEH, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.5mm

get the 86.01 size and adjust the ring gaps yourself

you will need to grind them with a dremel, make sure the end stays perfectly square.

okay thanks, quick bit of 86.010 * PI , means a difference in ring circumference of 0.03mm if my sums right

just follow the instructions on that wiseco link, dead easy to do with some feeler gauges
Once you have put one piston ring into the bore use an upsidedown piston to push it further into the bore (which will straighten it up), then measure the gap and adjust if required
