Hi all,

Brief question; in the quest for less rattles:
http://www.elisepart...r-striker-pins/

Will these fit the VX? They mention the original ones in lotus being GM ones, so guessing so; but prefer to know before I buy :D

Also; does anyone have a picture of original doorpins? Unsure if mine are new or not, but 'think' thats where the rattle is coming from.

Many thanks all.

Yes they will fit. A quick test to see if your door pins are rattling is to wrap them in tape. Then do what I did and leave the tape on because it's much less effort than changing the pins.

A few layers of insulation tape around your current door pin (it make it approx 1mm wider) will work too.

Add the tape slowly and keep trying the door until you get a more satisfying chunk when shut

You can see if that stops the rattle thumbsup

......too slow

Best thing i've done to mine to stop rattles is stick 1.5mm thick adhesive foam behind all the trim: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f07661712

Works a treat the tape. Needs replacing once in a while but certainly works a treat.

If they look skanky, they are oem. If they look shiny, they have been replaced.

+1 for insulating tape. Tape has the bonus that you can alternate the colour of your door pins as you see fit

If you change the pins... BE CAREFUL as there are around 4 washers worth about £50 between the GRP and the captive nut on the rollbar.

I suspect though the rattle isn't actually the door mechanism, but will be the window mech.

Most probably. Door pins worked in mine though.

Would this stuff be ideal for stopping the rear speaker panel rattling? I was thinking of double sided velcro but this is a lot cheaper.

Cheers.
