Went to the 2nd test in Barcelona last year. Really quite cheap to get in and go on a guided tour etc.

Could be a good trip , I've got a load of holiday leave to use up , update: flights about £50 out Friday , return Sunday for last test

Must check flights to Jerez/Seville this year. Sister has a place about 5km from Jerez circuit.....

Hmmmm.... I'll need to speak to SWMBO about this. We were considering a trip to Goodwood festival of speed this year but it works out at a lot of money for us with travel and accomodation.

When I was in the forces. There were various F1 teams that used RAF bases to test F1 cars. It was free to see them testing the cars if you worked on the base. The teams were on the bases for a week at a time.It was awesome to see what happens in the background.

Train stop is Estació Rodalies Mollet - Sant Fost nearest hotel ( http://goo.gl/maps/lw9mV ) , the other train station is Estació Rodalies de Montmeló

Train map ( http://www.circuitca.../planoRenfe.pdf ) , Montelo (nearest circuit) is in zone 2, on the dark green R2 line ”Granollers Centre” and light green R2 Nord “Macanet – Massanes” , from the central station Sants , Mollet – Sant Fost (nearest hotel) is the stop before. Roughly every 30 mins, duration 23 minutes.

Airport BCN , Simply follow signs for the RENFE train , you want R2 Nord and get off at Montmelo the journey is around 50 minutes and costs €3.80 for a single ticket.
