I wanted to change all my fuel pipes etc so I thought I would do my bulkhead ready for when my coupe parts are done ,so out came the grinder and jigsaw .

Not to sure was going to bonde and bolt but is very secure and could be handy to leave removable .

Some foil tape around the edge might be a good compromise. I've got about 10 of sound insulation (acoustic thinsulate - felt type stuff for the interior side of the bulk head) if you want me to drop some over next time i'm in MK.

Blimey, thats a big old hole! Id deffo keep the pannel removable, really helps on my car for access to the other side of the engine IMO. Not sure you need to spend money on gold reflective stuff TBH, it's not like you have a hot turbo lurking near there! That airbox design looks ace, so long as enough air can get in though that little entrance slit. I did some calcs on my engine and my car consumes a room full of air 10' x 9' x 9' every minute, which is mind boggling. Yours will presumably want approx 3/4 of that, which is still a LOT of air. Good luck.

you should shorten the coolant return hose (like on the throttle bodies cars)

Looking good mate but i wouldn't have the balls to go that far, cutting the hole for the harrop is all i need. How much weight do you reckon you have lost with the window, roll bar, head pads etc etc all removed then the coupe back fitted, it must be quite a good saving? You have now lost all advisability from the rear, are you going to fit revers cameras?
