At the last service I was told one of the front shocks is looking a bit misty I have already had the the rears sent back to Blisten and refurbed. But I'm now thinking I should bit the bullet and start to finally upgrade the car. I can't afford to spend £££££ as I've already throw loads at the engine over the years. Are there gonna be any issues with running a different type/brand on the front to the rear ? Also what should I be getting ? car is a daily driver and I live in speed bump hell I will track car but maybe not that often. Recommendations please :) Also whilst I'm at it with the front what else should be replaced or upgraded ????

IMO I would just replace both front and back. It will transform your car and I am sure you will be pleased. I know you are on a tight budget but it will be money well spent.

Cheapest upgraded shocks are gaz nickels and gaz gold pro can't remember the costs of each now,the other alternative is putting a wanted add and getting them second hand Edit Personally I'd change all the suspension ,you could get some new bolts of jg and hub carrier bolts etc

I'd say Nitron Streets but they've been discontinued thumbsdown There must be a few sets knocking around for sale somewhere.

I work with a guy who used to work in the suspension trade. He says that Nitron streets are the best all round value / performance for the money and he really knows his stuff. Its next on my list - although the note above about them being discontinued is worrying...

yes it would and don't call me Shirley !!!
Just means having the car off the road again for around a week
There are a set of exige shocks on flea bay at the mo
it would just be nice to get the swap done in a day with my cousin and be back on the road again.
what is the difference between whats on the exige and the gaz golds ?

If I had the money that would be the next thing I do. Now the nss have ceased, gaz gold 2 it is. I'd never made my mind up over the nitrons or the gaz. Lots of discussion and arguments. Nothing ever swayed it for me. I just hope that gaz don't take advantage of it and hike their prices up realizing the competition is no more ....
