    REALLY??

Posted 13 January 2013 - 11:16 AM

I recently opened a thread asking about some stuff, and came to the conclusion that TC was a good idea. I contacted RaceLogic and asked for some prices for a group buy.
Here's the reply:
Thank you for your email. We’re not overly keen on group buys anymore but since it’s a new year, what the hell!

Terms and conditions:
· 1 order from 1 person, with 1 payment.
· Once all orders have been placed, email them to me and I’ll send a quote with the correct rate of discount applied.
· Money should be paid by each group buy member to the group buy manager, then the total amount for all orders paid directly to us. We’ll accept payment over the phone or a bank transfer.
· Units will not be shipped until payment has cleared at our end.
· We will drop ship to each group buy member if we’re supplied with each buyers contact details. Otherwise the systems should be sent to the group buy manager to distribute.

· For 1-10 units you will receive 10% off the retail price.
· For 11+ units, you will receive 15% off the retail price.

Unfortunately we’re unable to offer a fitting service anymore but any qualified auto electrician should be able to fit the system.

Prices:

RLTC6A – Traction control for up to 6 cylinders.
=£535 Ex VAT
10% off = £481.50 Ex VAT
15% off = £454.75 Ex VAT

RLTC6AL – Traction control for up to 6 cylinders with launch control.
=£595 Ex VAT
10% off = £535.50 Ex VAT
15% off = £505.75 Ex VAT

RLTC6DIA – Traction control for up to 6 cylinders with launch control and digital adjuster.
=£695 Ex VAT
10% off = £625.50 Ex VAT
15% off = £590.75 Ex VAT

I don’t know if you’ve seen them yet, but here are some great videos of Racelogic Traction control on a VX220 Turbo from YouTube. This might be good propaganda for the forum members J

I’ve also attached some useful RLTC VX220 documents which we’ve acquired over the years. Please be aware of the noisy wheel speeds documents.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best Regards,
John.

I'm wondering if they would do the digital controler(instesd of the analogue) if we paid full price for the initial unit, will be asking that question tommorrow. How many people would be interested in this, and are there any members who have this system who have fitted it themselves(successfully) and would be interested in fitting some more, for a price obviously..... thumbsup

Its been on my wish list for a while, but is very much a want rather than a need. What sort of timing would this run to, ie when would we need to pay? Also, 1-10 units implies that anyone buying 1 would get 10% off :P

cheers deano, do you have this system fitted? did you DIY and how long did it take? digital or analogue controller?
as for time frame, personally the sooner the better, but i think john at RL has messed dealt with group buys before so its a bit open ended i think. and yes 1-10 seems like one could get the same discount as 10....but the more the merrier..
there is also a box to sort out noisey abs signals at £95+vat to factor in too....

I'm sure I remember seeing somewhere how to make this. There's only pennies worth of electronics in it. That saves you over £100 straight off.

After the 4 channel ABS unit, this is the next best modification for a VX (IMO)

Last time we talked about a 'group fitting' round someone's house where we all follow a leader so to speak? I'd be real interested in that?
