Chris have you bought pump yet as on ebay they have got the massive pumps for about £60 bargain and the plug on that is the same as the injector plugs .

Already got the pump Lee - came with the bunch of parts I got with the charger.

But the first one you list might fit, personally I would measure the plug and ask the seller the size of the plug they are selling before spending any money.

It's not a VW plug, give me a bit and I'll find the details when I'm near my laptop.

Will have to take a measurement of it and check if it is the D type not the oval shape. If I can't find one it'll have to be a bit of home fabrication....

there are two similar pumps, one has a bosch D plug and this one which is sold as a VW coolant pump and has a slightly smaller D plug than the Bosch version

If you've brought Bosch Additional Water Pump 0 392 023 004 here or similar the VW connector with code 1J0 973 702 does NOT fit

Spec of plug here

Plug is Tyco Timer Connector Housing 2.8mm, JPT here
Connector and seal can be brought from www.polevolt.co.uk
3-8270 J.P.T. female terminals 1-2.5mm
10658 J.P.T. wire seals. White. 1-2.5mm

For future reference to anyone who hasn't brought their pump yet is don't get hung up on looking for the exact Bosch pump, any decent one will do and as Lee mentions their plenty cheap on fleabay

I got my D type connector for the same pump from RS-components (http://nl.rs-online....ectors/7182682/). The link is the dutch site, but it gives you the info. It's called Junior Power Timer and from TE Connectivity. Beware that they sell the housing, pins, water tight sleeves for the pins and the protective rubber sleeve for the connector separately. And the pins come in a bag of 10 or something. It's a hassle, but it does look OE.

I have Molex 34062-0001 listed as mating connector, but not sure if that is right.

Normally I just modify a Bosch injector connector, as the pins fit exactly. Fir with some silicone and done.
