Hi All! Am new here, and what I am after is a set of the original VX220 floor mats! They are the ones which have the VX220 logo printed on them! I have a standard 2.2 VX220 03 plate! :-) Anyone know if there are any around? Ooooo by the way, can the mats for the turbo model be used in my car, and also how do they fit Ladies and Gents? Hi Karim.

First of all welcome!

Original mats do come up for sale from time to time both on the forum and on ebay. Keep an eye on on the 'Parts for Sale' forum.

The driver's mat is the same on both the NA (2.2) and the Turbo. But the passenger mats are different. The Turbo passenger mat is shorter as turbos often have double stepped (fixed) footrests fitted. The NA mat is longer as the NA generally has a single (sliding) footrest fitted.

The mats are secured to the floor by two (in each mat) aluminium round 'buttons' that screw into a corresponding recepticle that is glued to the floorpan.

And on the left here is an NA passenger mat:



A Turbo passnger mat will fit in an NA, but if you've got a footrest there will be a 6 inch gap between the end of the mat and the footrest which will look a bit strange.

They come up on ebay quite often. There's 2 sets on there now (turbo)
