Use competing if you are too humble for my semi-pro term :P

Nice one. Looking forwad to what you achieve with this little car. Looks like your the one who bought the bargain off that chap who needed to sell quick for work over seas. Was tempted by that myself. Non cat but with 75k + on the clock?

No, the one I bought hadnt been advertised for sale, someone replied to my wanted ad. Much less mileage

Arh! The hardtop colour coded with the windscreen surround made me think otherwise. Either way, looks a nice little car ready in vauxhall primer.

Very interested in this, would be good to see what a standard tune NA can manage. I'm not that familiar with the rules, will there be suspension changes?

Nothing wrong with that milage. Mine is about to tick over 80k in the next couple of days. It doesn't know about the SC I have in the loft. Might be in for a shock!

no difusser, too much liability for it getting knocked loose and black flagged

you mean a long diffuser sticking out the back?

The flow simulation I did showed that there was far more down force to be gained by extending the vanes down to to the minimum ground clearance than extending it out the back of the car if your sticking with a 110+mm ride hight.

Mark, where did you get the race calendar from? I called MSV just after Christmas and got told it would come out at some point in Jan, but they had no idea when.

I had registered an interest on their site and they emailed it to me last week

Regs are pretty open, will be using Nitron 46's

Part of the regs are that you have to retain the silhouette of the car so this possibly may not be allowed

Thanks, can you post it up here in full please? Sure I registered last year and received nothing but perhaps was too early.

That's a nice calendar (other than Silverstone National) and none of those coincide with PBMW, I'll see you on 27th April.

Will follow with interest Mark. Be interesting to see what building a car to fit in just under 175bhp per tonne means in terms of mods. Car on a diet to offset the cage and then some basic NA mods?

Yes exactly, strip out some weight to account for cage, strip out some more weight and put it back in at the front and driver on a diet (no joke), lost 1st 4lb since Christmas and I'm fcuking miserable!!!! (Even more miserable than usual )

Well done for losing all that weight Mark. Keep it up, it will be worth it in the end and good luck with the Trophy!

Can't find the 2013 regs but from the 2012 regs

5.8.2. Modifications to the silhouette may be permitted subject to all of the following
conditions:
Such modifications are:
Fitted for safety or efficiency ( for example to aid cooling of either interior cabin or engine bay without a significant performance advantage)
Approved by the series organisers and scrutineers in advance.
In keeping with the spirit of the series (modifications that give a significant performance advantage at a high financial cost will almost certainly be illegal or outlawed in future regulations).
.
I would think you've got more change of getting a diffuser made of a few quids worth of ali sheet past them than a big carbon wing.

I like the sound of this series. Limited mods and power output to keep costs down. If your in round 1 at Snett I'll see about popping up for the day.
