That's not yours is it? I had an 83 one (Y reg'd) Black/Red, it was near enough new mind! Never seemed to have the same following as the original Elsie, had a 250 before hand (at 17) & loved it! Still get excited when I see one now over 30 years later & realise that I've turned in my Dad :D It's just that my bikes weren't old British things

I had the MK 2 with the bikini fairing and belly pan, loved it! I bought this F2 to do a full refurb but have had a change of heart.

My 83, the first year of the YPVS, came with belly pan & small nose fairing as standard, it did however gain some rather nice Allspeed exhausts, boysen reeds & was tinkered with by a man with called Stan in Kent*, then it use to go off the clock in 4th! *Stan Stephens I think, was quite a 2 stroke tuner in his day

Yes I had allspeeds and Harpower reeds with K&N filters, Stan Stevens was defo the best tuner in them days, although Bob Farnam left him and started up his own company. stan tuned a CR250 motoocross bike for me and it was silly quick.

Stan Stephens is still a formidable 2 stroke tuner and a very famous one as well. Based at Brands Hatch.

I used to work with his son, Harley.

:D He was a very well known tuner! It was between him & a guy called Terry Beckett (again IIRC), this was near enough 30 years ago!

My only mildly tuned 350YPVS was mental afterwards, I'd say that I never bonded with it in the way that I had with my 250LC & kept getting asked if I'd sell it?
So, I did & bought a Honda VF750F, which was slower!
