How To Tell If Hardtop Is Oem?

I have a hardtop I'm thinking of selling as never gets used but I gather some are tms/ aftermarket how can I tell as It would affect its value I guess.

Well made quality bit of kit, fully lined and padded, the front separate section nicely padded, a good fit, as above with the mountings and covers and tool,the instructions,the brilliant seals all round, nice and quiet and warm with it on, looks nice.Also it has a sticker with a exclamation mark and a open book with an i on one page wtf ??? :lol: Other than that I don't know .

It also has a warning triangle sticker near the front on the underside.

Mmmm not like mine, same stickers but your liner is solid mine is cloth stuff and padded ? But its off a 2001 NA .

You would have to start with the list i guess. 1. NA OEM 2. Turbo OEM 3. TMS 4. Jonnyboy Any of the old skool guys here remember any other versions?

Sounds like mine, but I was to polite to say :lol:

99% sure mine is original Na as the paint job looks same as the car and not a spray job . but could be wrong ( as usual )

I think the one smiley posted is aftermarket. I have no idea whether it's from lotushardtops.com or TMS.

on both of my Lightening yellows its exactly the same as this pic, i brought a black one from a guy who had the vauxhall receipt the picture is exactly the same.

also and a moonland that one was padded and lined proberly an extra

No, that's a standard original NA hardtop (that would have been supplied in the same silver as the screen surround).

No idea what the underside of the Johhnyboy/Lotushardtops aftermarket one looks like. Finish wise I think it's closer to the look of the NA version but no idea about the fixings it uses.

Is there any way to recognose a jonnyboy, now that he's using original lotus hinges? Othet hen TMS and jonny, there were no aftermarket editions?
