Hello from Poland. I have bougth VX220 alias Opel Speedster 2.2 NA 4 weeks ago. Now I have given it to the mechanic and he will prepare the car as it is (serial one) + I will make some repairs of the body + painting. But in parallel I am going to prepare new engine form SAAb 9-3 Aero + supercharger Eaton M62. I have bought new engine (Z20NER, it has been working max 2 hours, it was not even mounted in any car) and here a have bought supercharger kit. Probably in 8-10 weeks I will put new engine + Quife to the gerbox. Kind regards boy10

I am still thinking what ECU should I use. I know the trigger issue. I have read here that Exmantaa had used LSJ ECU from US. But I think that in Poland nobody will be able to make it work :( I am still searching for someone who will be able to put life to this set up with Z20NER plus Trionic8 ECU from Saab - there is small chance I have found the right one. We'll see.

Would it be possible to fit a ZZ2Se ecu and run the dutch firmware on it?

Yes, as I know it is possible but there is trigger issue (Z20NER/L/T have 60-2, Z22SE has 7-1). If U solve it it is possible. But Z22SE ECU is qiute expensive to tune. I am searching cheaper way. Sometimes it is even better. And probably in this case it is (see below)

I have contacted Exmantaa (member of this forum), he has just finished his project with LSJ 2.0 engine (it is similar to Z20NEL/NET alias B207L/E engine) and he has suggested to use LSJ ECU. He followed that way with great success - 281BHP with standard 2.2 exhaust manifold. My engine is little bit different - head, cams, valves for sure are different, but rest probably the same. In case of problems I do have Z20NEL low mileage engine in stock ;) to use it as donnor.

Here U have link to LSJ 2.0 + SC project:
