I doubt you'll be 'cutting your own' tbh

It'll no doubt need lazer cutting, and since I'm looking into other things of the same ilk, I'll ask about cutting CF at the same time.

I've got the carbon winders, I'll check the thickness tomorrow - can't help thinking (after an hour of googling) its going to be easy/cheap to find the requisite thickness.

Carbon burns on the edges if you laser cut it. It'd need machining. You can cut it and sand the edges easily enough though. To get the thickness just stick bits together (pikey, me??)

You don't fancy just getting the ally ones anodised do you? A few of us got them done after seeing Nicol's and they look really good.

they are quite a matt finish, is that what you asked for?

Sure is. The anodiser guy recommended against it but since Nicol's looked so good in matt, that's what we went with. Seems durable enough and any scuffs have so far been dealt with by dampening the surface a little. Jobdun

I'm looking into getting some made but they would have to be water jet cut and not sure on the costs as it would take a lot of carbon up! We may make them with a carbon layer with pre pre glass in the middle to keep the costs down and be able to make them thick enough. I would take a guess at approx £50 a pair.
