My other half works for Epson and managed to score a high end HD 3D projector for a stupidly low price :D I wasn't sure if we were going to keep it or sell it on as we already have a 50 inch 3D TV bought about a year ago. I fired it up in a temporary location and had a go on Farcry3 and decided that was it - I HAVE to keep it thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup We had to rearrange our lounge / dining room setup but we've now got the TV for normal viewage, and now the projector (currently running at 80 inch) for gaming and movie nights. :D :D :D I was really surprised with how bright the image is - you really can use it in the day without having to close all the curtains. Having a big screen and sitting only about 6 foot away is totally immersive. I'm finding now, when playing something like NFS - most wanted, that when I see a crash is inevitable I'm actually closing my eyes before impact :P HD 3D movies are really good too. I thought although it's full HD it won't look as sharp as it does on my TV because of the size, but it really does. Apparantly, it'll show full HD up to 100 inches, but we don't have the room size to project to those dimensions! Properly converted to projectors now thumbsup For the techie geeks out there, it's the EH-TW6000W

I have one of the first 720p 3D projectors from Optoma and love it. Not a fan of 3D but If I have to watch something I'm going to do it properly ! mines projected at 108" which is my only regret, I think 1080p at that size would be great but 720p is not quite enough. "80 really is what I should have made the upper limit but I was restricted by the throw distance and the amount of Zoom the lens has. I think I will be eyeing up the 1080p ones soon ! you are lucky :)
