We will have to have our own area on the site for the Dutch ECU

That would be pretty cool, to share experiences, pixies, maps etc.
The germans allready created such on thing on theirs.

All 300bhp cars have ran fine at load for ages with only the vxr injectors in.. Also the atomisation of the fuel will be much better at a higher pressure, be more efficent and economical..

Peter was concerned that my z20let injectors will run out of puff after 6000 RPM with a 3.1" pulley so I might be in the market for a set of the blue injectors and wide band map sensor

If I fitted VXR injectors to my stage2 SC will I need to get it re mapped for them to work? Or will they just be plug and play? I was running lean after 5k at CS and they told me the uprated pump would fix this. However the tubby injectors might also have a part to play.

I was told not to put vxr inj in a stage 2, i got mine (vxr) from courtenay and they put them in and mapped it on the day. I used z20let inj up to 270bhp without issues Luke has vxr inj up to 315bhp without issues Vxr inj will run up to 360bhp no problem but after that it starts to get quite hot and you need to look at cooling the intake temps regardless of whether you use seimens or vxr's. Thats how i understand it anyway.

Z20LET injectors were fine on my car for 275bhp@7,000rpm, after I'd upgraded the pump. Only had to move to the Z20LEH injectors after the small pulley and blower cams.

As I understand it, the larger injectors are too powerful at idle and can't spray fine enough? (I might be talking bollox btw but thats as I understand it) I'm also running Z20LET injectors at 261bhp

But I think CS said yours were on the limit, so perhaps vxr ones would make sense.

Wouldn't surprise me. Fuel economy turned to sh!t with the LEH injectors and stage 3. Only get circa 200 miles out of a full long range tank now. Used to get 100 miles from a full tank before the fuel gauge even registered any usage with Stage 2. Another nail in the coffin of Stage Justnotworthit.

Whoever is lean at high rpm on stock stage II with tubby injectors, probably has fuelpump or filter not running 100%. So either fix that, or use blue vxr´s as a workaround. Not sure what´s going on with the stage 3 guys, but those blue boys should really be sufficient.

From what i understand the atomisation of the fuel is pretty poor at low pressure, all you will get is a poor fuel/air mixture meaning the car will be much worse on juice (less mpg, not so important on a race car) emmissions will be higher (harder to pass an mot) and to top it off your limiting factor is still intake temps regardless of which injectors you use.

The vxr injectors are at about 80% at 300bhp with 3.8bar pressure with no hint of intake temp issues.

I really cant see a point using 630cc injectors below 300bhp and still trying to work out if there is any point below 360bhp. Throwing more fuel in doesnt get away from the fact that the intake temps are too hot, it just coincidence that the vxr injectors start to struggle at the same power point the temps get too high.

I'm running 330bhp on 630cc injectors and my fuelling is pretty dam good fuelling. So I don't believe that you get poor atomisation or if you do it can be easily controlled with the ecu From looking at lees lambda (before harrop) his was way out on the vxr injectors

The way i picture it is like this.. On the bigger inj it puts in x ammount of fuel at a low pressure ( imagine a tap being tirned on) The smaller inj puts in the same amount of fuel at a high pressure (imagine pressure washer) The fuel vapour particles from the larger inj are all clumped together where as the smaller inj are already split apart making the mixture alot moe even if you like, this even mixture burns better and more efficiently. Thus better atomisation of the fuel. Remembering its the petrol vapour which is the flamable part. The only way the bigger inj could match the spray pattern of the smaller inj with lower pressure would be to have smaller holes. Whats your afr reading joe on idle and on boost?

14.7 on idle which I know for a fact Vxr injectors aren't doing. Will find the Afr for boost Chris remember the ecu controls the fuel injectors
