I got my hands on a cat with an unknown wideband in there, i would like to give a try.

Plug side reads Tyco PBT-GF30
Plug top reads Tyco PBT FG33
5 wires, 6 connectors in the plug.

Google is not helping here. Tips on what the wires do, or how to measure are appreciated. chinky chinky

Well, it's either a Bosch sensor or an NTK => http://www.lambdasen...in/mcolours.htm Either way, does the WB sensor suit to your wideband controller?? (you cannot connect a WB sensor directly to the Z22SE ecu; it needs a controller that gives you a 0-5v signal (besides an AFR readout).

No controller included. That makes it useless, and i need to get a full kitt? Any tip on what i should buy? (for obd tuner connection via egr wiring) and seperate gauge in the cabin.

Innovate motorsports lc1 is probably the best in business, very scalable too, you can add gauges, sensors or even wireless iPhone interface. Costs around £150 with gauge and Bosch wideband sensor. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/

When it works the LC1 is very good and adjustable, but some have the nasty habit of randomly loosing their calibration settings. My (older) LC1 does that sometimes and is not something you need during an AFR logging session... :ninja:
Maybe the newer models are improved.

The older lc1's didn't adhere to the Bosch spec, which meant they are sensors :( not sure on now though, but I sure as hell wouldn't buy one :lol Could try the jaw 14point7 controller.

The wideband is out now. Available for free, if anyone wants to experiment with it.

Can of worms time, define "been great", as in how do you know if it was accurate etc

I've got their wideband with integrated controller. Only got it for some logging and the price was unbeatable. Even got through UK customs without charge. thumbsup

That is indeed the big issue; I used custom output settings for more accuracy, but my LC1 randomly changes back to the default output, making whole logging sesions worthless and quite difficult to spot during engine mapping...
It also sometimes recalibrates on engine start-up and that throws off the AFR reading big time!
