My new vx has full scroth harnesses, I was wondering if its viable to mount the standard seat belts as well? Just for ease really....

Sector 11 or Hanger 11 or whatever there called do a kit that will allow you to run it. Its pricey for what it is but does the job, and makes getting the seatbelts done up a bit more fiddly but that's fine for me & I probably drive 90% harnesses' and 10% seat belts..

So they don't bolt in on top of the harness in the original holes?

Its basically a set of longer bolts, with a larger 'smooth' section as such where both the end of the harness & seat belt can both fit too separated by a larger spacer. The passenger side one was a bit different as your required to lock two nuts together on the bolt to put it in - can't exactly remember why

My schroth and oem´s are connected via the oem bolts.

But as i also have grinded away the headrest spoons, so i could die a horable death any day now.

I really need to extend my fuelpump access hole for the full effect.

It's okay Smiley, your car has been fcuked ever since you fitted a non-standard exhaust and lost the rear crumple zone. thumbsup

I also run both using just the existing hardware. I think the only trade off is that the belt sockets are now fixed in a more upright position (or at least very hard to pivot as before) Clearance to the center console is unaffected -

Those corbeau look to sit alot lower than standard seats. Do they fix straight onto the original subframes or bolt straight in? Do they just start lower down so provide as much 'seat' as oem?

Nothing wrong with that. Very bouncy by design.

Tested that on my first trackday. :ninja:

Or just change ur harness bar to the Jon Betts bar. This maintains original belt fixings

Another vote for keeping both.
