Grills are tigersealed to the ears.
The set is then secured to the car with 4 screw constructions, just like in the real turbo.

I only heared of aftermarket ears, not grills.
Did you get them for cheaps on ebay? (these polish replica´s are known to be horrible)
Put up some pixies of what you got. Makes life easier guessing here.

Dont tiger seal them on. I got some fix on bolts after following coco pops guide. which means I can take mine on and off when I want.
I too had a gap but with some adjustment you can really minimise it, or attach something esle and paint it balck to block that hole. Just be acreful not to cut too much out of the original hole when fitting them.
Fitted mine a month ago and all good.

Yep, I have OEM ears and there was a gap allowing movement up and down, so I moved them up to leave the gap at the bottom (unseen) and closed the gap at the top.

Not mine. Sounds like the same problem with the LM Corse ones that are also too short (Which I dont sell for that reason) Its hard to know how they actually ended up too short maybe there was a design revision at some point?!

I just thought everything needed to stay seperate if they needed reprinting at some point down the line.
Nah, 2 screws go into the grill section to the sill, and 2 in the ear section.
So they have to be bonded together somehow.
If in need of a respray, take them off the car and the painter (or you) needs to mask off the grill part.
Anyhow easier then dropping off the complete car, as painting in place is more open to dripping effects, and the sanding results gets everywhere.
