The ears to keep them in place ? The ears are not vauxhall made I had then from a member on here can't remember who it was now been a while. Thanks for the help in advance

Grills are tigersealed to the ears.

The set is then secured to the car with 4 screw constructions, just like in the real turbo.

Right ok thanks didn't think the grills were going to have to be tiger sealed to the ears thanks for clearing that up. I thought they stayed seperate for removal for painting etc if needs be at some point

I'm also finding there is quite a big gap at the top of the ear where it meets the clam on the drivers side?? Is this a common problem with these grills that aren't oe

I only heared of aftermarket ears, not grills.

Did you get them for cheaps on ebay? (these polish replica´s are known to be horrible)

Put up some pixies of what you got. Makes life easier guessing here.

Dont tiger seal them on. I got some fix on bolts after following coco pops guide. which means I can take mine on and off when I want.

I too had a gap but with some adjustment you can really minimise it, or attach something esle and paint it balck to block that hole. Just be acreful not to cut too much out of the original hole when fitting them.

Fitted mine a month ago and all good.

Yep, I have OEM ears and there was a gap allowing movement up and down, so I moved them up to leave the gap at the bottom (unseen) and closed the gap at the top.

Sorry for the confusion I have oem grills but the ears themselves are reproduction items I had then from a member selling them on here but can't remember who was making them now . I have followed the guid on here and haven't tiger sealed the ears in to place I have tiger sealed some fiber glass fixings into the rear of the clam to bolt the ears to. What I was unsure of is do I need to tiger seal the grills to the ears them self as I can't see how these are going to stay in place ??

Not mine. Sounds like the same problem with the LM Corse ones that are also too short (Which I dont sell for that reason) Its hard to know how they actually ended up too short maybe there was a design revision at some point?!

Nah, 2 screws go into the grill section to the sill, and 2 in the ear section.

So they have to be bonded together somehow.

If in need of a respray, take them off the car and the painter (or you) needs to mask off the grill part.

Anyhow easier then dropping off the complete car, as painting in place is more open to dripping effects, and the sanding results gets everywhere.
