The VX weight advantage diminishes as the speed increases because wind resistance becomes the dominant factor. As Nev has pointed out, wind resistance increases exponentially; so couple that with the poor Cd factor of the VX and in your case that wing. I'm guessing this explains the outcome.
All I get from these is 'astravxr' won't be happy until he has a car that can break traction in any gear at any speed. You really are in the wrong car if you're that focussed on top end acceleration.

We told him that at the very start and advised a Saturn V rocket might be more suitable. Fell on deaf ears then, too.

So basically these cars are just fast for 0 - 60... 60 - 100 isn't worth talking about? Im not on about after 100mph!

Not at all, there comes a point where 60-100 or whatever is a pointless argument. So basically these cars are just fast for 0 - 60... 60 - 100 isn't worth talking about? Im not on about after 100mph!

Well, clearly the VXR would ultimately be better, as it has the more supportive seats. But, a GSI with a pikey stage 87.2 eGay Bluetuna map on it would probably keep it honest up to about 12,000mph before gravity would start having too much of an effect.

And no doubt then he'll be on the Supra forums telling them his Supra is too slow tooIn all seriousnessnessness, I think the OP requires something like a 700+bhp Single turbo Mkiv Toyota Supra to be anywhere near content.

Yes I agree....a CC and 3" exhaust will add quite a difference and be noticeable.Maybe you will get a bit more out of it depending on your set up? I've seen stage 4's with charge coolers, and the big MMG intercooler, you have a tat one don't you? Possible upgrade there? Do you have a milltek? Maybe get a 3 inch full system? Snapped turbo stud is probably the most important to get done first. These are probably going to be the difference between 280-300bhp, you never know that extra 20 horse might be just what you need!

16 PSI is low for stage 4, some sensor/part might not be working, or possible boost loss from somewhere.

I think water / meth injection + NOS is needed

Snapped exhaust manifold studs could easily allow exhaust gas to leak out from the edge of the manifold flange, thus meaning the turbo won't receive all the exhaust gas, thus meaning it may not boost up fully. Also leaking very hot gas into the engine bay can cause things around it to melt - so worth investigating pronto.
I would ask Liam specifically what a "turbo leak" means, and then address it.
