I tend to agree TazN, there are other things that can easily be broken/bent that would look a bit silly with a sign on. Quite like those sill plates though ScottyBob, may treat myself to some of those but would they deceive someone into thinking that it was alright to stand on it??

while possibly being effective - they have to see and be bothered to read it that is ghastly!

Worked so far (2years)  , much prefer a "ghastly" sticker as you put it to a cracked cill !!!

its supposed to stand out so its seen and I dont have to forkout over a hundred quid to

put it right again  :glare:

I'd sooner take it somewhere that knows what they are doing....

I do now :P ....

I would love to get a set of brushed ali sills with vx220 logo etched in like that GB without all the problems they got thrown up with the metal being too thin.

I also think it might give people that are unaware the impression they are solid - though they would probably think it without them.

It's as much for the benefit of passengers as garages. Feel like a plonker explaining to everyone that gets into the car where not to stand etc. Also reminds people even when I have already given them the VX brief.

That is terrible - I feel for you.

I've only had my VX about 8 weeks, 3 days , 2 hours and 28 minutes - and had to ask a guy, who was about to swap my alloys, if he knew where to jack it up. He didnt so very glad I asked!!

Hope Kwick Kwack sort it for you.

Taz it's fine taking it to a place that knows what they are doing till Joe Blogs who happens to have come to pick up his shed or the cleaner or rep or who ever sees it and thinks that's nice I will just sit in. I put my fragile sill do not press sign on as a temp job when it goes in but have not bothered to take them off as you can't see them from inside or outside.

thats a fair point, there are always unknowns when you take it anywhere.

bit more back on topic, has the op had any luck with speaking to the manager?
