Just wondering if anybody had come up with fault code NA 0102 before? Basicly EML light came on and stayed on but the car had no power loss or acceleration problems. Spoke to the previous owner who said and I quote " the EML goes on and off every now and again due to the up rated Chris Tullet cat, because its a 200 cell high flow cat it makes the lambda sensor go funny and it thinks the emmisionshave risen". Plugged in my fault reader and i have all the Vauxhall software for it but cant read the fault. Any ideas?

What the previous owner has told you sounds plausible however code 0102 indicates that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. Not sure what you mean with the NA prefix? Just that your car is a 2.2 or is that what is coming up next to the code? OBDII codes usually start with a P but maybe what you have could be manufacturer specific to GM?

If it is the MAF you can check for any air leaks or frayed wires and try cleaning it with specialist fluid.

Dab Thanks for the advise I will be looking at that. The "NA" is what came up in front of the code.

Here is a useful link to all the 2.2 Diagnostic codes. Interestingly 0102 is not on the list.

I used to have a 200 cell cat on my car and it consistently tripped P0420 after ~30mins of driving, indicating poor catalytic conversion.

Well if an 0102 does relate to a MAF error, then it's not likely to appear in a list of 2.2 specific codes, as the 2.2 doesn't have a MAF.

I assumed with that coming up the OP had a turbo, looking at his profile I guess not? Doubt it but maybe the generic definition given for the code extends to covering the IAT / MAP sensor on the Z22SE? Although why would the ECU throw that up when according to the list above a P0105 or P0112 would be the relevant ones.

I would try using a different reader or at least make sure you are using yours correctly. Could it be an error code for the reader itself and not actually a DTC reference? As said it should prefix what ever it displays with a PO so I can't see what the 'NA' has to do with anything (Non Applicable?)

Spoke to a mechanic mate of mine he reckons that the "NA" is for non applicable. When I mentioned that what Dab said he said their is a MAF channel on the carb and spraying carb cleaner could help.

I'm not sure your going to get far trying to clean the carb. Where you based (on phone can't see) maybe someone local can help out with a reader.
