When I changed tyres on my last car, my local tyre place told me that RE040 were no longer available and pushed RE050 onto me saying these were the replacements.

Thats true in almost every other size but not in the 175/55X17 (nor 225/45X17) as its a tyre specific to the VX. They are however on back order at Bridgestone (atleast they were when I checked a few weeks ago). Not discontinued but awaiting stock with no confirmed delivery date. Probably means the container ship they are on is being held by Somali pirates and awaiting release

Edit - just saw you meant the 175s - They are out of stock everywhere...

mate just had quick look via google , and found Tyre shopper in the list typed in size and was quoted £185.50 fully fitted , guess that's each .

 

kwik fit and black circles don't list them

ive been told to go the re050 route for the rears

might look at some super soft Michelins unless anyone says not too
