Hi,

yep me again  :(

Has anyone fitted any auxilliary guages - in a way that doesn't destroy origionality ??

I feel the water temp guage is not too noticable ( cant see it without my specs !) and have been considering a warning light or a separate dual oil pressure/water temp gauge.

thanks for the help so far !

Paul.

Surely any addition of a gauge is going to 'destroy originality' by way of the fact that the car did not originally come with them? Think you mean as OEM looking as possible and not an obvious aftermarket add on?

No gauges are really needed however quite a few people have them mounted in a holder down by the center console. I went one stage further than this and made my own, I have oil pressure and temp here -

Thanks for the pointers - I see El*se shop (?) sell an under dash pod that fits where the interior light goes - like that a lot , but £££.

BTW- I probably wasn't clear earlier on - I was looking for something in keeping with the car ( as Dabo sez) ,but also,  that didn't involve drilling holes in visible places  (so the car can be returned to standard if need be ) :tt:

If you absolutely must have additional gauges, then the EliseParts pod is the way to go. But, extra gauges are more of an annoyance and irritation in reality, especially for something that already exists on the dashboard (it's not a classic car, you don't need to drive around constantly monitoring coolant temps).

Buy a Scangauge and use the monitoring capabilities of that. Bit of velcro, job done.
