80mm maf , vxr blue injectors , probably the absolute limit now on conrods as torque is 520nm / 380lb.ft

turbo is not cheap and you could probably source the cold side yourself , can flow for 380bhp

:o 380 on standard internals sounds a bit ambitious tbh, but you know a lot more than me!

The graph seem great, high power with torque kicking in as early as a stage 2!

Assume cc, 3inch exhaust and Dave Hardwick airbox or similar

Shame torque isn't a bit flatter :( Don't think that will destroy standard internals Steve?

I'm sure a low boost map would flatten the torque and keep most of the top end, if that's what you want.

Go on then, what's the price of this turbo?

If I was running this I would sure do it properly and get the internals done. Imagine spending all that hard earned cash and the engine goes. Looks good though.....so who on here will be the first?

I have this turbo on my car, this is a log of a run in the fourth gear (M32 gearbox)

There are several Speedsters here in Germany running this charger, all between 380 und 390PS (375...385BHP), including mine. You should NOT try this with standard internals, the engine cannot cope this power. But using forged pistons and cons you can have a lot of fun with this charger.

BUT

do not think this is a cheap one! You also have to do:

- exhaust (70mm at least)

- 80mm MAF

- complete optimized intake with large air filter

- an external *big* dump valve leading the air back to the intake, *not* out into the atmosphere(!!!), i.e. the Forge RS

- a better induction manifold like the Klasen SSR or the EDS pendant

- 630ccm Siemens Deka injectors

- high power fuel pump

- organic Sachs clutch for "normal" driving, sinter clutch from Mitsubishi Evo adapted for F23 if you drive Semi Slicks and have a launch control mounted (like me, just smoked the organic Sachs some weeks ago)

and lots of other optimizations.

Only the charger is not enough to get there. But if the whole peripherals are OK you will get a very smooth setup, high power with very nice drivability. You are f*cking fast and it still feels like a stage 2 or 3, only faster.

This was my flywheel btw.:

Front side

Steel flywheel after thermal overload 1 (front side)

Back side
Steel flywheel after thermal overload 2 (back side)

Semis + Launch Control + Steel Flywheel + 380BHP did not work all together.

I doubt this preparation reach 380 BPH, more probably 340 - 350 bhp without special inlet camshaft ...

Have you got a log of a run of your car in particular with a MAF value  ?

It has Klasen cams and widened cylinder head. If you doubt, that's your problem.

In fact this not a doubt, this is a conviction !

I have this turbocharger + all modification you have listed and even some other on my car ...

With a an air flow 270 g/s as I have recorded this does'nt correspond to the power you have announced ...

Have you got a log with MAF value or a map of this turbocharger ?

Considering the VXR injectors max at about 336bhp at 100% duty cycle its not a bolt on upgrade with out supporting mods - my previous experiance of the k06/k04 etc is not going to make that power - although the k04 on the tfsi lump will make 370+bhp not sure of internal / casting differences bettween the VXR one but on the VX220 they def dont make that :D

bits of this setup come from the porsche turbo , the problem with the k04 compressor manifold is that there is only so much you can machine off the inside to fit a larger profile wheel.

when people say k06, I think its the 2280 comp wheel, but the 2283 is the largest billet that BW do.

so if you break the price down to chra , wheels and housings , the bits are out there.
