Just wondered if anyone had any experience of Fisher Fury's?  I keep seeing one on the way to work, I think its a great looking little car.  Ive had a browse and although there arent many for sale they seem fairly cheap.

Just wondered about the driving experience really and cockpit size for a 6ft bloke!

I built one in 1996 and had great fun in it. NA cosworth that revved to 9K, no heater, oh those were the days   Great fun, but never forget they are kit cars and some are built by idiots!!! If you have big feet beware as pedal box is very very tight, height is not the problem.

Thanks for some feedback.  I had a Westfield about 10years ago and although it was a bit rough around the edges it was great to drive.  Ive seen a couple of Fury's recently and just thought it would make a great track car especially coupled with a bike engine and gearbox.  I think I might try to look a bit deeper into it although I couldnt find a huge amount on the web other than the Fury website.  I might drop them an email.

Check out lowcost-builder.co.uk and the kit car section on pistonheads. Its full of good advice.

They are a highly rated car, designed by Jeremy Philips and closely related to the Sylva Phoenix. They have two chassis weights. The lightweight is for track and has been known to break with very powerful cars on road. They also have various bonnet and body styles, and screen options. They have a choice of live axles or independent. The uprights are escort or capri, hubs were escort. Pedal box is tiny as mentioned above and require driving shoes. They are / were prolific winners of the 750c motor race events.

To be honest I loved mine but it was getting on a bit and I just didnt have the time to invest in it.

There are loads of videos up on YouTube...some by ahem myself.

Handling wise they are very well regarded and very easy to drive on the limit, they are also alot more aerodynamic than the seven style cars and so don't stop accelerating past 100mph.

I sold mine 1 month ago.

Was tempted before buying my westfield. No problem cockpit size. I'm 6'1". Good handling. I did think the demonstrator pictured could have been finished a little better. Not quite up to my Westfield standard but that could be rectified.
