I've tried to use this on my laptop running 64bit windows 7 and I've now given up and it's going in the bin (the Opcom not the laptop!) lol I've tried all sorts to get it working but no luck, think it's the driver not being compatible with windows 7.

I've searched on the net for a driver but no joy, you thought there would be idiot proof instructions for windows 7, shame really cus could have done with it up and running, might invest in the one off eBay for £40 he guarantees it to work with win 7

I spent ages trying to get OPCOM to work on my windows 7 laptop. It took all of 2 mins on an old XP clunker.

Run the installer with administrator rights. The OP-COM drivers are just the industry standard USB virtual com port drivers from FTDI, nothing clever there.
