Final iteration for the winter.

Main changes

- Lower thermal mass of heater matrix allows the heater to respond more quickly when temperature is adjusted

- 600 g weight loss compared to earlier versions

- higher fin density for greater heat transfer

- lower profile to aid ease of fitting

Features over OEM heater

- Increased airflow (measured at 170 % of OEM), for more rapid screen clearing and quieter lower speeds

- Fully sealed construction

- Significant increase in heat output

- Fully power coated and galvanised with stainless steel fixings

- Replaced cable control with electronic, preventing stuck or stiff controls.

- 50 Watt resistors for lower fan speeds prevent resistor burnout leading to loss of low speeds.

- Retains MK2.5 improvements with fully encapsulated electronic control unit and connector on cabin control for installation flexibility.

- Provided with neoprene air ducting to replace aluminium duct (better insulation and durability).

For me, about two hours. If you're doing it for the first time half a day to a day.

They will all be MK2.6 going forward, however I don't know how many that will be. I have a limited supply of fans and will not be buying more.

cold is cold, it stops the water from flowing through the radiator rather than using a flap to control the air. They don't leak hot air.

Well, 50 % climate control. I did think about doing it actually, since the system is a PWM it's just a case of using a thermistor and bias pot in place of the current pot.
