Ok, so I've cured my braking vibration, but now have another problem.

Just fitted a new coolant expansion tank, the old one was nine years old and looking very yellow as it's been attacked by UV light.

Chosen not to buy a carbon fibre or aluminium light shield as a new tank is only £25 off ebay.

Maybe my ebay purchase is the problem?

All re-fitted, but driving normally the water level warning light turns on and off, but when driven hard on track the warning light turns off as normal!!! Maybe I should just drive quick all the time?

There's plenty of water in the tank.

Should I buy a genuin Vauxhall part or could it be the sender/pickup thats faulty after refitting it???

Help appreciated.

or get a Dave Hardwick alloy one and never worry about it again (although you could replace a standard one 10 times over before you get to the cost of a polished one)

I had this when first fitting my eBay one, seemed to sort itself and was fine for nearly two years. Just recently the light has now started coming on again 10 minutes into a journey. Fcuk know what causes it I've cleaned and wiggled the sensor all to no avail.

Ha. I actually have this problem now. I guessed it was because I lost a bit of coolant changing it but having since topped it up it now stays on more often than before! Glad it wasn't just me.

I had the same when taking the Isle of Dogs left hander out of the Limehouse Tunnel. I cured it by having a supercharger fitted. True story.
