Anyone used or heard anything about these guys? They have an engine that I'm interested in and they have allegedly good reviews, but they appear to only accept bank transfers as payments....

It looks like an ebay for breakers to flog engines. So depends on the rep of the seller of the particular engine you look at I suppose.

Yeah that seems to be the case. They do take PayPal and credit card apparently so not so much of an issue.

Ian, please be vary wary of specified milage,condition/guarantee from people like this. Get everything written down on paper so you have some comeback, ask for proof of milage, videos of the engine running, check the pics they post are of the actual engine etc etc....

I haven't actually heard of this particular company BTW, I'm just suggesting stuff based on my few encounters with such companies.

That was one of my concerns. It seems to be pretty difficult to be certain how genuine the quoted mileages are. I'd like to think though that one quoted at 34k miles is 'probably' a lower mileage than one quoted at 51k. I guess I'm only using the bottom end so it shouldn't matter so much and it should be easy enough to check bores and maybe piston rings. Based on Ali's experiences in her thread I'll certainly go into it with my eyes open and I'll definitely be making sure I can turn it over even if only by hand before splitting it.
