Put a gearbox breather on if you tend to drive the car in spirit once i a while.

When driving in spirit (usually on track), the gearbox oil heats up, and can squirt out via the breather nipple.

As that is near the left rear wheel , it's potentially dangerous on track.

It also creates a bit of a mess in the engine compartment.

The mod gives the stock breather nipple some extra room.

Oil cooler. Barb on the level port, barb on the fill port, circulated through a cooler (obviously) but only if heat management becomes an issue. Alternative is to use a thicker oil so it thins less.

You could put in a lower final drive ratio. But for the cost you may as well swap in a zafira box for the same final product. Good for track, but for road use I wouldn't bother as the noise would be annoying in my opinion.

Changing ratios and final drives is an expensive business :( I wouldn't agree that a Zaf box would be too noisy though. Could get an LSD?

I have the 4.17 final drive sat at home and I have been quoted a very reluctant £500 to fit it at Phoenix motorsport as his words were its a PITA to do.

The car already sits high in the rev range on the motorway, increasing this would be irritating in my car.

You should try a 4.6FD, now that is irritating!

NO!!!!! (well ok may have them but that doesnt mean its the right answer.

Plate diff and do it right if you want to add an LSD, many deem it pointless/not worth the cash.
