Bit of a update, as this may be actually nearing completion.

So a couple of years ago, the car was getting a bit neglected and had a few little niggles that needed sorted. Biggest issue was cosmetics as fudenmentally decent car beneath.

It now has, subframe shims replaced, 4.17 FD gearbox, balance shafts removed, new set of corbeau LE pro seats, replaced brake lines, spitfire toe links + brace and fuel pump relay, hub carrier bolts, a set of speedline wheels and T7 heater. Basically a pretty through overhaul of the car as Ive now had the car 11 years!! 😮

Bodywork wise, managed to get a better condition front clam locally which was a god send.

A new roof with a smaller scoop and minor modifications to the rear clam and just a case of making look half decent!

The bodyshop has done absolute magic, considering what I gave him! It's never going to be 100% perfect, but it's exactly how I want it and starting to look actually good to my eyes!

Got sent photos earlier of it in a base coat / primered, first time I've seen it in one colour in years!!

It was an AQ code gearbox I found on eBay, got a company locally to give at quick once over before I installed it..

I believe originally its a Zafira gearbox..

Porsche amethyst metallic.

It's very dark in some light, but in full sun it's glorious!

Getting back together, starting to look like a complete car. Some bits to do interior and seal wise, and hopefully just undertray and diffuser and get an MOT..

Nice paint!

The window tint really gets an extra highlight. Looks great.

I would definately go for bright silvery rims to really stand out from the body and to catch up from the windscreen surround.

But that is just me and I love shiny things. :D

some turbo ears in black and a black windscreen surround would make a massive difference

Mostly back together and properly back on the road! Bit terrifying as I haven't driven it for over 2 years, but no major problems except for the need to sort tracking / geometry.

Also now blackened up the windscreen, so bar properly fixing on the front V it's pretty much there visually.

First time properly been able to review the T7 heater... Gee wizz the difference is phenomenal! My heater on has the max setting working so it's all or nothing, and I always let in on constantly with the old heater.. after a short drive of a few miles I was actually considering turning it off!!

Tom it looks great. Love the colour, the wheels, everything about it!

Maybe a splash of carbon fibre on the fuel surround/cap.... UC do one that isn't too expensive.

It looks great, love the rear clam cut outs too.

Thanks! ..Not really a fan of carbon to be honest, I just don't get 'it' but maybe one day i'll do the outer surround of the cap in black?

Anyway, can't be spending any more money on it now, need to get the land rover back on the road!
