Just joint the site as I think it would be the best way to get an honest vx220.

Im looking for any vx220 cat c or d but on a very limited budget so must be cheap , I can also do any work that may need doing to the car .

Im in the SE London / Kent region but can travel but preferable not to Scotland etc.

Any help would be appreciated .

Thanks Mick

How much are you looking to spend ?

And what are you after from the VX, spec wise etc.

Welcome

I don't know too much about spec ,is there a huge range ?

I really wanted to keep the price under 5K but don't know if that's realistic, I would appreciate any tips ect to what to look for or buy.

Thanks Mick

If I was in the market for a cheap VX for the road, it would be on my list of possibles. It is not as if an engine is an expensive issue to fix if needed.

There are loads of modifications possible, all in different configurations and set ups.  No two VXs are the same in that regards

However, £5k will get you a "rough around the edges" NA, 6-7k should get you a nice one thumbsup

Don't worry too much about milage either as long as they have been maintained :)

Thanks for the information , I have been looking at the one on eBay and trying to work out what would be a fair price to pay as it does have some issues such as seat, wheels, sills and the engine. Could someone tell me what they think would be a fair price?

Thanks Mick

I would say about £4,200 for the red one on eBay.

I would say about £4,200 for the red one on eBay.

4200 for a car that had cat d once then cat d again. . And has failing engine . For an extra 1300 you get hpi clear with half tha mileage .

Hi , im still looking for a cheap vx220 and was wondering if anyone knew any history of a red one which is currently up for sale on eBay as light cat D , http://cgi.ebay.co.u...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123

Can anyone tell me if Vauxhall made a 2.2 red top engine and if they did why was it better.

Any help would be appreciated as I'd like a car soon before the wife finds a use for MY garage.

Mick
