I live in South Wales and haven't even seen it advertised! (admittedly I don't watch S4C though).

Which stages are you going to?

Sweetlamb + Another  = Friday

Chirk Castle + Another = Saturday

Clocaenog + Service = Sunday (if we're not cold wet and miserable buy then!)

I'm going on Sunday to some stages then watching the finish at Llandudno pier. I live right near where the cars are being kept and tested toyota(Deeside) and went to watch them getting weighed last night ,was interesting. I do love the rallying, weather is going to be awful as usual !

Haven't been to a rally since they got all a bit Mickey Mouse a few years back with their stupid "super special stages" and became a pale imitation of the proper days of the original Lombard RAC.

It will be the first time in around 7 years that I won't be going. :( I've witnessed the best of the action that there is ever likely to be back in the early 2000's. The cars where still of a decent size and power, a better mix of top class drivers with the likes of McRae, Gronholm and Sainz where still on the scene and the manufacturer line up and media coverage where well in excess of today. Sadly the sport has steadily gone downhill since IMO. thumbsdown

I was part of a WRC Team for the last ever A Series Mini to compete in the WRC 10 years ago and was hob-nobbing in the service area with Carlos Sainz and The Pr Drive Team..

Agreed though WRC is now tame to what it used to be although there looks like there is going to be some goo classic stuff out this year inlcuding 6R4!

I agree however a few weeks back was the Cambrian rally which uses some of the same stages as this event, stages got cancelled due to weather conditions turning the road into a mess that bad a recover truck crashed over the edge. I don't mind the weather as Im Used to it being from North Wales,

When the NetworkQ RallyGB was based in Cheltenham, I worked at the Vauxhall dealership used for the strip down scrutineering after the rally. Richard Burns Subaru was in the workshop along with 5 other cars, within an hour of the rally finishing & left in bits several hours later. Champagne bottle still in the footwell!
