To be fair, the engine revs were really low. I don't think we'll hear the revs that low during the race.

Should give every team an "It's a Knockout" style joker, for double points, that each team can play at one race of their choice each season. Choices to be nominated at the start of the season. Nothing can help the Brazilian Grand Prix, if the title has already been settled 3/4/5/6/7 races beforehand.

It's a fcuking stupid idea. It should just be left as you get a set number of points for a race, pissing about making some races worth more than others is just ridiculous.

I know there's going to be change to cars, engines, teams, tracks etc as time goes on, and whether it's for the better remains to be seen. I just think that faffing about with the points system where you can get more points at one race than you can at others is just an absolute joke.

 

Yes we all want to see it come down to a last race shoot out between the best drivers, it keeps it interesting. But I don't want one driver to win loads of races with another driver finishing second in them all to then just win the last race and take it on points, that would just make a farce of the achievement of winning a title just because you happened to win the 'right' races.

I can understand the need to try and level the playing field. But let the team do what they do best. And the drivers do what they do best.

So bets on who takes what numbers?

Button might request 5 and have it in Red, was used by Mansell and Button has previous with the number and colour.  But he might have a preference for 22 given that was a pretty good year when he had that number on his car.

Lewis possibly 12, was a number used by Senna with Lotus and McLaren.

 

Might as well just give Vettel 1 for a couple of years.

Tbh that would work well. I don't think the double points is to help the winner, it's to help the sh*t bottom teams who could make a massive difference to next year's budget in one race.
